How we think

  • The goal of Open Doors Arizona is to create community restoration in historically marginalized areas. We know from experience that many individuals find purpose and become empowered through access to education and experience. The empowered individual will in turn make a positive impact in the lives of others. We can realize community restoration when enough people in a community are able to traverse the pathway of purpose to impact.

The Foundation supports growth within the communities it serves rather than importing programming from other areas. The activities we support are relevant and respectful, taking into consideration the culture of the community, and empowering indigenous influencers to lead the way to positive change within their own communities.

  • Before an individual can discover purpose, they first need freedom. We believe true and lasting freedom comes from faith and justice, and is predicated on knowing God and experiencing redemptive grace. The Foundation seeks to establish partnerships with effective groups who promote faith, justice, and healing in the communities we serve. These partnerships may include faith-based groups who are promoting spiritual and emotional healing.

The Foundation emphasizes access to education and experience as the vehicle to discover purpose and become empowered to make a difference. Skills are enhanced through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real world training. People who are empowered will benefit from others who are able and willing to open doors to opportunities that facilitate impact.

This is the pathway of purpose to impact.
